Onion (sliced round pieces)
Ginger piece [optional]
- Chop onions, green chillis, curry leaves and ginger to very thin slices.
- Make a consistent batter out of gram flour, egg, and a little water.
Add the above chopped ingredients and salt to the batter.
- Preheat oil in a pan. When the oil is hot enough, pour 1 tbsp of batter (for each vada) to the oil , and deep fry.
- Drain the excess oil in the vadas by using a ladle with holes.
